9Sub Reports Placement (Access2000-03)

Hello again!

I have a Report with 9 Sub Reports.
I am including attachement with question -
How do I position my SUBS so all of them open up and don't make others to expand in weird way?
So far I see all of these Reports are not in sync.

However ALL 9 are linked to a Main by the same FieldName.

Please, help.

I was about to explain but I didn't know how so I went and almost fixed it as I knew how.
However if you can tell me - can I hide SUB Reports IF it has no values and make it just not show up?

You can use code like this in the On Format event of the section of the main report that contains the subreport:

Me.NameOfSubreport.Visible = Me.NameOfSubreport.HasData

NameOfSubreport must be the name of the subreport as a control on the main report. This is not necessarily the same as the name of the subreport in the database window.

When I have data like

AC - 1
AB - 2
AN - 3
P - 1
I need all that starts with A to be summarized and displayed like
A - 6
P - 1

How do I get there?

Let's say that you have a table with two fields: Code (text) and Quantity (number).
Create a query based on your table.
Enter the following expression in the first column of the query:

CodeLetter: Left([Code],1)

Add the Quantity field to the second column.
Select View | Totals to turn the query into a totals query.
Change the Total option for the second column to Sum.
This query will group the data by the first letter of the Code field, and sum the Quantity.

You can use this query as basis for a form or report.

Almost there...however I do not need to summarize anything except when it starts with A.

It could be P2, P3 but I do need to display each of those - not when it is starts with A.
I am tryi8ng to alter your wonderful solution but if there is a totally different approach I am probably not going to be able to.

Sorry, I misunderstood your intent (it would have been clearer if you had posted a few more examples).

Try this, again assuming that the field is called Code:

CodeLetter: IIf(Left([Code],1)="A","A",[Code])

Can you please, show me how to take portion of the field before the first space.
If I have
Person ID -2 and Person Code - 3 and Personal - 4
I need to have all 3 count to =9.
But I need to have only word before space to group BY this word.

Apologizing again.
2 firelds Personal Referrals and Company Referrals.
I need to have them both as 'Refferals' - so I need to chack IF the word after the space is 'Refferals' live it and nevermind Personal nor Company. So I need those 2 becoming Referrals.

This appears to be the opposite of what you seemed to ask earlier. You will have to explain VERY clearly, precisely and unambiguously what you actually want, otherwise I can't help you.

Is it possible that the field will contain more than two words? And if so, how should those be treated?

The problem is I am working with raw data and as they requesting Reports - they are changing fields to display.
Now it is final.
Personal Referral 2
Company Referral 3

Fields should be displayed as
Referrals 5
