    Open to Default Worksheet (Excel 2003)

    I don't see that there is a setting that would allow one to open an Excel file to a default worksheet in the workbook as opposed to the worksheet that was active the last time it was saved.

    Would this be approached with workbook or module VBA code that always opened the workbook to a specified worksheet or would the code have to be executed upon closing the workbook. That is, upon exiting the workbook it auto saves and changes to the default worksheet before closing. I don't like that auto save option as I think it through.

    Any thoughts?

    Re: Open to Default Worksheet (Excel 2003)

    Add this routine to the thisworkbook object:

    <pre>Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Worksheets("Default").Activate
    End Sub</pre>

    This opens to the worksheet named literally "Default". Change as appropriate. If the users do not enable macros the active sheet when saved will be the active one.
