Converting a PDF file to Excel (2003)

    Hello,

I have a PDF file that I would like to convert to Excel. I have adobe acrobat professional 7.0. I tried converting, but there is not an Excel option in the save as. Is there I way to do this?

You can try the select text tool, select a table, and copy/paste it into Excel.

When I do this, all I get is a picture inserted into excel and not text to be able to manipulate. Any other ideas?

You can also open the PDF file in Adobe Reader and simply select part or all of the document, copy, then paste into Excel. You may have to use Data | Text to Columns to distribute the pasted text over columns.

A Google search turns up many PDF to Excel converters, but I have no experience with any of them.
