Default style for text boxes (Word 2000 SR 1)

Another Word text box question: what is the default style that Word uses for text boxes?
    Is it always always 'Normal'?
Am I able to change Word to use a different style for the text in a new text box?
    Thanks for your help.

Yes, Normal is the default style for text in text boxes, and I don't think you can change that.
You could, however, set up a text box with all the formatting you want; then delete all text from it and make it into an AutoText entry.
You can then insert an identical text box by typing the name of the AutoText entry and pressing F3. You can also assign the entry to a custom toolbar button.
