Am trying to open a .odt file which has been attached to an email - but I want it as a Word doc - any ideas?
Tried to download a convertor but after 10mins was only at 2%

odt is the file suffix used by openoffice which you can download for <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>
I don't know if there is a good converter for use in Word but someone might be able to make an alternative suggestion to avoid needing to download the original software.

You could download and install Open Office, open the .odt file in Writer, and save it as a Word document.
