    IIS doesn't show is Adminsitrative Tools (WXP SP2)

    Hi,
    I am trying to access the IIS on my computer and it isn't visible in Administrative Tools. It shows as running under services. I uninstalled it and reinstalled under Add / Remove files / windows components but it still doesn't show in Administrative Tools. What am I missing?

    Thanks,
    Leesha

    Re: IIS doesn't show is Adminsitrative Tools (WXP SP2)

    Hi,
    Our IT engineer at work suggested I download IIS 6.0 and install that which I did and now IIS is showing in my administrative tools. Prior to this I was running the previous version ?5.0.

    I hope this helps someone,

    Hi Leesha

    The other way to do it without an upgrade is to:

    Start --> Run --> inetmgr

    Alternatively youcan recreate the shortcut to the application, the path to inetmgr is:

    C:WINDOWSsystem32inetsrvinetmgr.exe

    Thanks Jerry!! Now I'm off to try to figure out the cookies piece and "state" in asp.net 2.0. Sooooooooooo much to learn.
