It's a picture of part of the <?php...?> tag. I's just meant as an illustration to show that that part of the post contains code.

(PHP is the scripting language used by the new Lounge software)

Have you checked that SaveReminder.dot is listed (and ticked) in Tools | Templates ?and Add-Ins...?

There may be a problem with timing - the code works correctly for me in Word 2002 if I store the add-in in my personal startup folder for Word, but not if I place it in the startup folder in Program Files, even though the add-in does get loaded, and the AutoExec does run.
Since Word 97 does not have this choice between different startup paths, I don't know how to solve this. You might try copying the code modules and the userforms into the default template Normal.dot.

Hans - you again sussed out the problem. It was not ticked in Tools/Templates/Add-Ins. Once it was, the toolbar appeared. However (isn't there always a 'however'?, once I close out Word and go back in, it is again unticked. Is there a way to make this permanently ticked? The ShowOption macro is in Macros, Normal.dot.

I did copy over 2 macros, RunSave, RunDoc (NewMacros.RunSave, NewMacros.RunDoc) accepted changes to Normal.dot, but I still have to manually tick the Add-In.

    Thank you.

P.S. If anyone knows of a program in lieu of this one, we'd appreciate learning about it.

Select Tools | Options... in Word, and activate the File Locations tab.
The Startup item in the list shows which path Word uses for items that will be loaded automatically such as add-ins. You can change this path if you wish.
If you store the SaveReminder.dot add-in in this startup path, it should be active each time you start Word (i.e. its check box should be ticked in Tools | Templates and Add-Ins).

    Hans -

    Thank you!

My myopic vision was the problem...I did indeed have SaveReminder in correct location (Startup). However, when unzipping it, I somehow sent the .dot to another folder within Startup.

Thank you, as always, for your time and patience. We, my husband and I, thank you very much.

    Curious

Glad you've been able to solve it!
