Suppress Fields in Page Heading (2003 SP2)

I have a report grouped by person. I have inserted a subreport in the group heading that shows summary totals and page breaks before and after. The detail section then shows the data to support the subreport summary, followed by another group footer.

I want to suppress some of the text boxes (field headings) in the Page Header when the subreport prints, but enable them when the detail section prints. So far I have not been able to find a way. Is there anyone who has a solution for this? Thank you

This can be done, but it's rather complicated, and it can be tricky to get it just right.
The basic technique is explained in MSKB article How to Repeat Subreport Header at Top of Page.
Microsoft has a free sample database that demonstrates the technique: Access 2000 Sample: Report Topics.
