image centered but shows on left (FP2003)

Link corrected by HansV (it contained a space)

Hi all,
I am new to these boards but not new to FP. I have been using it since FP01 I think that was what it was called. I now use FP2003 and recently having a couple of issue that I have not been able to resolve. I do not write CSS yet. I am trying to learn about that. Purchased Expression Web and want to use that but still can't do the CSS.
Here are my questions:
1)This is the page with the problem http://barefootbay.net/patwebb/snugharborhomes.htm , The image in the second box that says "land for sale" I have it centered in the cell but it doesn't not view as centered. I have checked everything I can think of and not able to fix it. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
2) This same client sends me text in a table for the site, she uses Microsoft Word 2000 and I use Microsoft Word 2003. When I get her text I open it in my MSWORD program and copy and paste it into FP2003 and format it as Arial 12pt that is what I use throughout the site. When I view it in Firefox it appears to be fine. She uses Internet Explorer 6 and sends me screenshots that show the font is times roman. I am NOT able to see this in either FP or my browser. Even the code if FP says Ariel 12 pts. Even if I open my Internet Explorer 7.0 I can not see it. I work at fixing it but in the BLIND. I have noticed that the font reads something like MS ??? instead of NORMAL in the font box in FP. I have started to highlight the text and select NORMAL. Sometimes it fixes it and sometimes it doesn't. I have used the format painter and that does NOT always work either. It is a hit and miss. Does anyone know what this problem might be. My only thought is that MSWord has formatting stuff in it that I can't get out. She has Ariel set as her default in MSWord as do I.

Thanks

Re: image centered but shows on left (FP2003)

Hi Donna

Welcome to the Lounge

#1 The underliying code for the image is:

<pre>

<a name="SH vacant land"></a>

</p></pre>

As you can see , it is align="left", change this to align="center"

#2 Scratching my head on this one as I can view it correctly in FF and IE as Arial, but let me work on it. Is it particular areas where the client is seeing the wrong text font?

Whilst checking this out you could try out the following code between your head tags:

<pre><style>

Body {
font-family: Verdana,Arial,sans-serif;
}
</style>
</pre>

This sets all text in the file to the specified font family

Thank you so much for your very fast reply. I did find a backup file I had of that page and it was laid out correctly so I just copied and pasted and then published to fix it. If it happens again I will check the code you said.
As for the font problem, there is nothing right now that is not correct. This is something that happens periodically, it is very strange. Maybe I should just post when it happens so then you can see.
Thank you again.
