    Reminders (Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711))

    Hi,
I am unable to set up an appointment reminder in an Outlook Diary. This diary is shared by 3 people (Its a public folder). Every attempt is met by the message " The reminder for ' Holiday' will not appear because the item is not in your calendar or tasks folder. Is this Ok ? "
    Can anyone help ?

This problem appears to be address by this Technet Article:

Normal behavior. Reminds only fire from the default mailbox folders.

you can send a task or appt as an attachment to email with a reminder enabled and it might work. i don't do it often and forget.
you need ot use RTF to the other address BTW, for best resuylts.

To my knowledge, no. It may be possible using VBA, but I think that would take lots of programming. Try www.slipstick.com for Outlook 3rd-party utilities. Perhaps they have something.
