Elimin ate double space between footnotes (2003)

On some documents where I have cut and pasted text (or copied and pasted), the footnotes, while individually are single-spaced, the space between footnotes has an extra space, even though the paragraph is formatted as single. Any way to eliminate this extra space?
    Thanks in advance.

Could you post a small sample document?

The paragraph format of the Footnote Text style is defined as having 13 points space after. If you modify the Footnote Text style to have no space after, the extra space will disappear.
