    .NET/TurboTax (English)

I'm starting my taxes and TurboTax says I need to install .NET to use this year's tax program. I'm very ambivalent about installing .NET on my computer. What else does it do? I don't like Mr. Softy spying on my system. Am I being paranoid or should I install .NET and not worry about it? Is this an eventuality? Thanks for your input...

Plenty of reading available, such as this Wikipedia article and this from Microsoft themselves. I think you will find that more and more software is going to become .net dependent - and it shouldn't be any more worrying than running any MS software <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

Yeh, I guess you're right! Big bad MS has his eyes on all of us. I'll procede, see what happens and let you know of any untoward "side effects"...

    Thanks!!!
