Linking to a master presentation (1)

    Hello,

I am currently creating a very large master presentation which co-workers will be able to pick and choose slides from to create their own presentations. This slides will have to be updated on a regular basis, so instead of having to modify the same slide in multiple presentations, I am looking for a way to update only one slide and have the changes automatically filter through to any separate, subsidiary presentations that have been created. The hyperlink function will not be compatible for potential off-site use of the data. If anyone knows of a way that this can be done, I would be very appreciative. Thank you!

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

You could use the technique described in Linking PowerPoint Presentations Together Seamlessly, although it's probably tedious if you want to assemble a presentation from individual linked slides.

    Hi

We have a similar need and have developed a way of creating a large number of named custom shows within the master for various uses and then an Add In that produces stand alone presentations instantly from any custom show. The process is very quick and overwrites any previous version of the standalone (as long as it hasn't been moved). There's a free e sheet on custom shows here :

The Add In is described in the esheet and is very reasonably priced with money back if it doesn't do what you need.
