    Modifying a report design (2000/XP/2003)

I have a report that has to have its control source modified depending upon where in the system the user activates it. This is no problem and I have written code to modify the data source appropriately. What I am curious about is whether there is any way of doing this without the user seeing the design window open and then close before the actual report appears. Not critical but it would look cleaner.

You don't have to open the report in design view - you can set the Record Source of the report and the Control Source of controls on the report in the On Open event of the report.

(See for example the attachment to <post:=155,586>post 155,586</post:>)
