    Run-Time error: 2105 (ACCESS 2003)

Hello, I've been getting this error message "Run-Time error:2105 - You can't go to the specified record." that's keeping me from going to a new record. This occurs when I click on the add new record button of the form that I'm using. A pop up appears with the option to either end or debug. If you choose the debug option, it highlights the line where the error occurred " DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec". What can I do to fix this error. Please help.

    Thank you.

A couple of things to check quick.....
In design view make sure your form's Allow Additions property is set to "Yes".
Ensure, if you are using a query for the forms's recordsource, that it is an updateable query. You can check that by opening the query in Datasheet view and if the Add New Record button in the Navigation buttons is subdued, then your query is not updateable.

Thank you. It is actually working now. Somebody in my worplace actually did something to the forms and unknowingly "broke" the form. so she decided to delete the entire database and load the backup copy. I'll keep your advise in mind for future reference.

    Thanks again.
