On error resume next (Access 2000)

I use a copy command as follows:
    On Error Resume Next
    CopyQuery StrBeow", "QryOnStockBl", StrBl, "QryOnStock"

I want to avod the error when the database is not present. But it seems that the command On Error Resume Next does not perform its function and i get the message of error when the database is not present. How could i avoid that and continue with the code when a database is not present ?

CopyQuery is not a built-in Access instruction, it must be a custom procedure or function, so it's impossible to say what causes the problem.
