Paste Traspose from File to File (Excel 2007)

In Excel 2003, I was always able to select a range of cells from one Excel file and then use "Paste - Special, Transpose" in a different Excel file.

With Excel 2007, "Paste - Special" does something completely different and "Transpose" is not an option. I have found the there is a "Paste, Transpose" in Excel 2007, but it is greyed out if the copied cells are from another file.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this in 2007???

    Thanks...

It sounds as though your files are open in separate instances of Excel. If they are open in the same instance, then Paste Special should work as before.

That was it. I don't fully understand why sometimes Excel opens files the same session and sometimes it opens files in a separate session.

    Anyway, thanks again.
