    Footnote continued (2003)

Is there anyway to customize Word such that I will have a footnote that, if it is necessary that it be continued over to the next page, be continued as follows:

    On page where footnote originates:

20/ The brown dog jumped over the moon. The cat

    On the next page:

    20/ (continued...)
    ran away with the spoon.

I would also like to underline the number and be able to format the paragraph as either left or justified.
    Thanks in advance,

I don't think so, but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

You can modify the Footnote separator and the Footnote continuation separator, go into normal view (not page layout) and then View > Footnote

I don't think you can include the footnote number, but you can add (and format) text
