Number increments (2007)

Loungers - I have the following formula =A1+0.1(where A1 =1), this works fine up to 1.9 then it calculates to 2, however I need the number to got to 1.10, 1.11 etc

any thoughts?

What you want is a text value, not a number value - as a number, 1.10 would be the same as 1.1.
Try this in A2:

="1."&(ROW()-1)

and fill down.

Hans - unfortunately this creates a problem as the number cannot be text - I've attached a cut down version. You will see that there is some code in the Action and Noteworthy tabs that rely s on a numeric value.

Do you know (or anyone else) if there are any workarounds that may fix the problem?

It's not clear to me where you rely on values being numeric.
It makes no sense to use the values as numbers, since 4.1 = 4.10, so you wouldn't be able to distinguish between them.
If you have no more than 99 subitems, you could use a formula such as =A1+0.01, you'd then get 1.01, 1.02, ..., 1.10, 1.11, etc. up to 1.99.
