Can't change folder status (XP SP2)

Upon attempting to install Photo Story 3 for Windows I get an Error1304 when it tries to write to the All UsersDocumentsMy Music folder.. I noticed that the entire All Users folder and it's sub folders are Read Only, and I cannot change that attribute. Is this normal? (I assume not, as Microsoft obviously expects to be able to install into the aforementioned folder.) My next question is why is it locked into Read Only, and finally how do I unlock it?

You should not have to worry about the read-only attribute on a folder. See <post:=576,007>post 576,007</post:> for more information.

After looking at it I agree -- the problem is not due to Read Only status. I'll open a new post on the problem.
