    line-column chart (2003, SP3)

When I choose line-column chart as my chart type, can I specify which fields I want as columns and which as a line?
I have 6 columns of data - 5 of which I'd like to have as columns on the chart and would like only the 6th to be threshold line on the chart. But Excel automatically does three of each.
    Thanks-Nancy

You can't change this behavior, but you can change the type of the first two line series to column charts.
However, it's easier to start by creating a standard column chart (i.e. all six data series are plotted as columns). Then click once on the 6th series to select it, select Chart | Chart Type... and change the chart type to a line chart. This will be applied to the selected series only.
