    Auto-archive (Outlook 2003)

    Dear Loungers,

I am auto-archiving my Inbox in Microsoft Outlook. However, I donít want ANY of my items deleted, only archived.

If I keep the following boxes check, will my messages be deleted:

    - Delete expired items (e-mail folders only)
    - Archive or delete old items

It would seem that the logical answer would be ďyes,Ē but I donít think it is because in reality, I have had these as my default settings all along and my archived folders have never had any items deleted from them during auto-archive (at least none that I am aware of).

    Regards,

    JMT

If you wish to use a setting for your Inbox that is different from the default AutoArchive settings, right click on the Inbox folder and then select the AutoArchive tab. In that tab the third entry should be "Archive this folder using these settings". It seems like you want to move the e-mail to the default archive folder. "OK" your way out.
