    Loading a Template (Word 2002)

Does anyone know of a way to get to a template in Word 2002 without having to go to the upper left (File/New) and then go to the right window and click on General Templates and then go back to the middle of the screen to choose the desired template. I hate changing templates in 2002, and I use many different templates.

I want it to work the way it did in Word 97. I went to File/New and then chose my template. Why all the extra back and forth and clicking?

I hope someone has an answer.

You can restore the old File | New dialog:
    - Select Tools | Customize...
    - Activate the Commands tab.
    - Select "All commands" in the list of Categories.
    - Select FileNewDialog in the list of Commands.
    - Drag this item to a convenient location on a toolbar or on a menu.
    - Right-click the new item and change its name from Other... to New...
    - Press Enter, then close the Customize dialog.

Thank you!!! I wish I'd figured out how to ask the question a few years ago. It was easy and will save me much time and frustration!
