    Print area (2003)

I have developed a spreadsheet that has a lot of conditional formatting and macros
However, when I print the active worksheet - it will print, say 42 pages, but there is only information on 3 pages. Is that because of the conditional formatting ??

I can not set a print area because many people add information during the day.

Usually it only prints what is on the page.

Its Friday afternoon and I think I'm having a blonde moment

    Please help

If you don't specify the print area, Excel will print what it considers to be the "used range" of the worksheet. This may include cells that are blank now but contained a value in the past, and cells with special formatting.
Formatting an entire row or column is less likely to cause the printed area to expand then formatting individual cells.
It may help to save & close the workbook, then reopen it.

In that case I will just have to check the print area on a regular basis.
Formatting a entire row didn't work. That gave me 396 pages

Thanks heaps and have a great weekend - our weekend is about to start
