    Control how many rows print on a Report (Access 2003)

    Here is the situation, the Processing Dept will like to cut down on the amount of rows that print on a report (10 rows per page for easier processing). In this report, there is a Page Header & Footer, a grouping area called InvoiceDept Header & Footer and a Detail area. In the Detail area, there is a control called CNum with the Running Sum property set to Over Group to auto number every row in the Detail area.

    How can I control the number of rows per page in this report?

    Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    You can create an On Format event procedure for the Detail section of the report:

    Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
    If Me.CNum Mod 10 = 0 Then
    Me.Detail.ForceNewPage = 2 ' page break after section
    Else
    Me.Detail.ForceNewPage = 0 ' no page break
    End If
    End Sub
