Mailto using comma-separated recipients list (Outl
My webpage has a mailto hyperlink which contains the multiple recipients in a comma-separated list. I use Thunderbird as my email client.
However if someone else clicks on the hyperlink who uses Outlook 2003 or 2007, when they click 'Send' it comes up with a box which says 'change commas to semi-colons and resend'. This happens even though they have 'Allow comma as address separator' set in their preferences. MS have a KB article KB820868, which says to set this option.
I have repeated this on my Outlook 2003 and am also getting the problem.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: Mailto using comma-separated recipients list (Outl
There's probably not much you can do about that, since Outlook lets you display contacts in "LastName, FirstName" format, so a comma confuses Outlook.
The problem does not occur when you interactively enter e-mail addresses separated by commas because Outlook then processes the addresses while you type.
