    Re: IP Question

If I have understood 1 correctly your host has an address of 192.168.1.10/24 and a default gateway of 192.168.1.100

The host will use ARP to try to find the MAC address for transmitting packets in the range 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254 to local hosts.
The host will transmit all packets to addresses that are NOT between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254 to the default gateway at 192.168.1.100

I have no idea about the second question.
