    Task Manager (Windows XP)

My first time in this particular forum and looking forward to reactions.

I pressed ctrl-alt-delete to bring up Task Manager to check on something

    and

    It was greyed-out and inaccessible.

    Any suggestions,
    Cheers,
    Andy

    Morning Joe,

In this particular case, there were no messages of any description, just a "greyed" Task Manager button, nothing else
    Cheers,
    Andy

You may not get the message, just a greyed-out button if it has been disabled as part of group policy.

If it IS a group policy problem, this probably won't help, but Kelly has a couple of tweaks on her web pages at line number 51 on the right and line 113 on the left. Check with care!

    Al,

Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Kelly's site is outstanding. I didn't know I could have that many things go wrong, never mind having fixes for them.

Line 113 was the magic number.

I was more than happy to send her a donation. I still don't really know what went wrong, and, I'm not embarassed to admit that I really don't know what the Fix did, other than it worked.

    Thanks again and
    Cheers,
    Andy
