    Page Setup-Orientation (2003)

I have a Word document and want certain pages to be landscape and certain page to be portrait. When I do File-Page Setup- Margins-portrait or landscape, the entire document changes to one or the other but would not allow me to do both for different pages. Thank you.

Select the text for which you want to change the orientation.
Then select File | Page Setup and if necessary activate the Margins tab.
You can specify what part of the document will be affected by your changes in the "Apply to" dropdown.
The default is "Whole document". Change this to "Selected text".
Select the desired orientation, then click OK.
Word will insert section breaks before and after the selected text, and apply the orientation to the new section only.

I just gave your suggestion a run but no prevail. Although, it doesn't change the whole document but it changes the few pages before and few pages after to the same selected layout. <img src=/S/bwaaah.gif border=0 alt=bwaaah width=123 height=15> . Thank you AGAIN Hans!

You should be able to undo the changes (or revert to a previous version of the document).
Try again. Make sure that you select ONLY the text whose orientation you want to change, and that you select "Selected Text" from the "Apply to" dropdown. It really works!

If the selection method doesn't work, try inserting "Next Page" section breaks manually before and after the pages you want rotated to landscape mode. This is easier to confirm using Normal View (rather than Print Layout view). Use Insert > Break > Next Page to insert the breaks. Then click in the section to be rotated and call up Page Setup again. Ensure that the change applies to "This Section" and it should work as expected.

You can ask as many questions as you like - that's what we're here for.

    And thanks for the compliment!
