    Closing Outlook 2000 (SR-1)

Anyone ever hear of a problem with closing Outlook using the X in the upper right corner? Someone told me that this method of exiting Outlook 2000 causes "ghosting" to the calendar where data is disappearing and / or reappearing.
I have experienced the so called ghosting but am dubious of the alleged cause. The supposed remedy is to exit via the File menu.

are you using corp or imo mode? see help > about or look for services (corp) or accounts (imo) option on the tools menu.

    if imo - no, file > exit = x

if corp - maybe, but you can't prove it by me. (i use the x all the time)
    file > exit = x
file > exit and log off is used to completely close mapi stubs immediately.

We are using corp mode. I too always use X to exit. Never heard of this but then I do occasionally get the so called ghosts. Have never lost anything but have gotten old calendar events origianlly scheduled months ago (like December) appearing, seemingly at random, in the current month. Just wanted to know if anyone knew conclusively these ghosts were due to the exit path taken.
