    Option Groups (2003)

when using an option group is there anyway to make all the buttons appear unchecked unless one of them is physically clicked.
Once the user has started to enter the data the lowest value button is the one that Assess 'checks' even though the default value property isn't used.
    Thanks

If there is no default value for the option group or for the field it is bound to, it depends on the data type of the field. For a number field, the option group should not have an option selected when you start entering data in a new record - see screenshot below. But a Yes/No field always has a value, it's either Yes or No.

Thank you - it was the yes/no field type that was the problem!
