    Bank statement (2003)

    If I have a bank statement created in Excel, listing transaction dates, transaction types, cheque no, debit, credit, balance, etc., how could I then extract from it summary stats? For example I want to list how much was paid towards electricity over a month or over a year. What would be the best way to obtain these stats? Thanks, Andy.

    Try creating a pivot table based on the bank statement. You can group the transaction date field by month or by year.
