    Styles - FormattingShowFilter (Word 2007)

    I'm writing VBA code in Word 2007 to display styles in the style pane (after first displaying the style pane if not currently visible). The results are quite erratic. wdShowFilterStylesAll results in an empty pane much of the time (but not always). InUse results in all styles being listed (most of the time). Is there a known bug with this?

    My code is below for the macros I'm testing.

    Sub StylesAll()
    ActiveDocument.FormattingShowFilter = wdShowFilterFormattingInUse
    End Sub

    Sub StylesInUse()
    ActiveDocument.FormattingShowFilter = wdShowFilterStylesAll
    End Sub

    Sub StylesInCurrent()
    ActiveDocument.FormattingShowFilter = wdShowFilterStylesInUse
    End Sub

    Sub StylesRecommended()
    ActiveDocument.FormattingShowFilter = wdShowFilterStylesAvailable
    End Sub

    Re: Styles - FormattingShowFilter (Word 2007)

    I think this feature has been broken since it was introduced in Word 2002 (XP), apparently it hasn't been fixed yet in Word 2007.

    Thanks. It seems that once the code runs, the interactive feature misbehaves as well.
