    Using tabs (Ms Access 2007)

In MS Access 2007 we see MS Access using wel formed tabs.
However when we try to make a tabbed form, the tabs we get doesn't have this well formed shape .
Why is such a kind of tabcontrol not present in MS ACCESS 2007?

Can you post a screen shot of what you want that you can't get, and also perhaps a screen shot of what you do get.

Otherwise try to describe more precisely what is different or missing.

Access 2007 tabs are much the same as in previous versions, but are somewhat enhanced.

Re: Using tabs (Ms Access 2007)

I tried to make a snapshot of such a tab, but i couldn't paste it here on this form.
Therefore let me try to explai nwhat i mean by the following:

Suppose we open a Access template e.g "Contacts"
When this database template is open and you choose a form to be displayed in layout view, then you see such a special tab above the form
The tabs i get have the form of a rectangle as is always be the case in MS ACCESS

    Is this it?

If so these are not tabs, because they are not part of the one form. We are looking at two different forms, but displayed as Tabbed documents.

There is an option of displaying windows as tabbed documents or overlapping windows. (Office...Access options..current database)

Yes these are the tabs or at least what i thought to be tabs.
Is there a way to construct tabs with such a streamlined shape to use in MS Access, or am I asking the impossible?
    Thanks for your reply

No, you are limited to three options via the Style property of the tab control:
    - Tabs
    - Buttons
    - none (i.e. hidden)

You can't change the shape, but the combination of 2007 and Vista (with the visual effects activated) allows some visual enhancements, as show below.

The current tab is shown in a different colour.
A 'mouse over' efect changes the colour, as is common with web pages.
