    mango a mano

I am determined to cut down on the Chapmans Chocolate Chip Cappuccino Creamed yogurt. It is getting out of hand. I have 24 2-litre tubs (empty) in my office and am rapidly if not rabidly running out of stuff to put in them. My excuse "I need the empty tubs for storage" is wearing thin.
I, however, am not wearing thin.

So yesterday I took a mango, a banana, half an apple and a half-pint of milk. Popped them all in ye olde Osterizer blender, burned some electricity at high-speed and poured into small tumblers, and set in the freezer.
Two hours later: not bad. Could use a little dab of sugar, but gotta be way cheaper than a 2-litre tub of Chapmans (which is to a large degree air whipped into cream anyway), and probably better for ye olde healthe.

    Anyone else going this route?

I take one can of peaches in light syrup - blenderize then put in an ice cream machine. Lovely sorbet.
