It should do as the Armadas I've had at this site all had speakers and sound cards.

Yes, it has speakers and a sound card. The sound is great with the Encarta program, and with MusicMatch (mp3). What I'm wondering about is making this speech software read aloud my text files, like the Bible text files I have in another program. I suspect it wouldn

I only have second-hand experience, but I understand there are a number of products which will read back Excel and Word files. Not sure about straight text.
Have you tried some of the sites that do comparisons, Buyers Guide come to mind?
