    ASP and PHP?

Is it possible to have both types of pages together on the same web-site? Sorry if this is a bit basic but anything I've read seems to discuss one or the other but not both. Does it get much harder when security tokens are used? Can anyone recommend any useful things to read that spells out what languages can be "mixed and matched", as it were?

    Thanks

    Yes and No.

The MIcrosoft IIS server on Windows natively supports ASP and can support PHP with additional software. Depending your hosting arrangement, you may or may not be able to install PHP on your Windows server. (E.g., 1&1 shared Windows hosting does NOT include PHP.)

The most common Linux web server, Apache, handily supports PHP, but I recently look for software to support ASP and could not find anything that sounded worth the trouble.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. However, ASP and PHP will maintain separate sessions, like two different applications. Even if they share the same cookies, you might find it difficult to build an application using both engines.

Why would you want to do this, anyway?
