    Zip Files As Folders (Ultimate)

I've installed WinBubble and haven't had time to check out all its features yet, so I don't know if the answer is in that program or not. I don't like the fact that Windows Explorer in Vista (just as in XP) treats Zip files as folders and it makes browsing around the hard drive a pain in the neck where zip files are concerned. How do you TURN OFF that "feature"? Is it only possible by registry editing, such as here:

Annoyances.org - How do I turn off Compressed Folders (built-in support for ZIP files) in Windows Vista and XP? (It's been so long that I don't remember how I did it in XP.)

    Or... ???

The only thing I can find is the registry method.

It's OK, I don't mind making the change in the registry, I just thought that by now, MS would have made it a more accessible option.
