Installing Off XP SP3 on Vista Business (??)

Because Dell couldn't deliver and their customer service is lousy, I just ordered an HP laptop that will come with Vista Business. My old license for OffXP will do me just fine, but I don't know if it will install and run on Vista (this will be my first Vista experience). I've read conflicting information about whether or not it will even install, much less run. The UPENN Computing site says "No", but I trust you guys to give me better information. I have an extra WinXP Pro license that I can install on the laptop but thought I'd give Vista a shot first.

Are there other things I should be aware of when trying to install XP-ready apps on Vista?

    TIA

Office XP should run on Windows Vista, but I've heard some reports about problems with Outlook 2002.

    Thanks, guys!

I should have the system by midweek and will give it a try and report back.
