What is Login Manager? (IE 7.0.5730.11, XP SP-2)

All of a sudden this morning when I log into an Internet application that requires a User Name and Password, as soon as I enter the password I get the following dialog:

    Login Manager: add new account?
Login Manager has detected submitting of a login form.
Yes No Never for this page

If I click No the application opens as normal

If I click Yes I get Login details:
    URL
    action
    Password
Click OK and application opens as normal

What is Login Manager and how do I get rid of it?

I did receive an automatic Windows update last night.

    Thanks John

It's not part of Microsoft's updates for this month, as far as I know.

There are several third-party applications called Login Manager. Is Login Manager listed in the Add or Remove Programs control panel? If so, you should be able to uninstall it from there.

Check whether it is listed as an add-on in Internet Explorer:
    - Select Tools | Internet Options...,
    - Activate the Programs tab,
    - Click Manage Add-ons.

No, nothing that gives a hint to Login Manager under the following 4 categories:

Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer
Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer
Add-ons that run without requiring permissiom
    Downloaded ActiveX Controls (32-bit)

If it's not a program or add-on that you have installed intentionally, it may have been added by something else you installed. Have you installed new hardware or software recently (apart from the monthly Microsoft updates)?

Otherwise, it might be malware. Have you run a full scan with a program such as Lavasoft AdAware and/or Spybot Search & Destroy recently?

After further review there was a Login Manager update to a Tool Bar I was using.

It's good to know that it wasn't malware. Thanks for posting back.
