IE 7 Pro (2.2)

I've seen no mention of IE 7 Pro on this board, but when I opened it I was informed that there was a new version.

I have several questions about it, for instance:

Do most users use it as there browser instead of IE 7?
Where will I find the version number?
Should I only know that I have it by the tiny e at the bottom of IE7?

I've read the FAQ's and the IE 7 Pro User Guide and I nothing mentions the questions I have.

IE7 Pro 2.2 was mentioned in this forum in <post#=703,861>post 703,861</post#> by someone called Duchess843. It was also mentioned quite recently by someone else in <post#=710,075>post 710,075</post#>
The previous version 2.1 was announced in the Other Software Applications forum in <post#=698,544>post 698,544</post#>.

I don't use IE7 Pro myself, the only add-on that I use is the Google toolbar.

Re: IE 7 Pro (2.2)

I read my previous post and was shocked to find it mention version 2.2. Then what was IE7 Pro doing saying that a new version was available?

I have never been able to determine which version I had previously, so I thought I was updating the program. I'm not able to use it as my Browser, all I have is a tiny e at the bottom of IE7. When I read the FAQ's for IE7 Pro, it asked that the Browser Extension "IE7proCtrl Alt 7 be checked and to check if Browser Help Class "IEbho" is enabled.

I don't know where to check either of them.

If someone knows how to do those these, please enlighten me.

IE7Pro is NOT a browser. It is an IE add-on. See the paragraph under the download button at IE7Pro - The Ultimate Add-On for Internet Explorer.

OK, it's not a browser but an add-on, and that seems to answer the first & third question.

I've discovered that the version is 2.2.4, that answers the second one.

Thank you for your reply.

Thanks Joe, for clearing things up.
Q: Do you live in a house or in the world?
A: My house is an add-on to the world!

I haven't used the IE7Pro add-on, since I'm on Fx and even if using IE that would be a later decision, but I have heard about it since it came; multi-tool add-on and all that. Some Fx features (Inline Search, Crash Recovery etc.), and other typically only found in add-ons. So, I guess it can be an useful add-on for some IE users.
