A book on Perl for beginners??

I am looking for a good (the best) book to buy to begin learning Perl. I was hoping there was one of those, "Perl for Dummies" books out there, but I haven't seen one. Half-Price Computer Books List of books on Perl at this link has a number of them but even more in their New Releases. There is one that particularly caught my attention and it is, Perl, CGI, and JavaScript Complete by Sybex, Inc. Whether or not this would be good for someone just starting out or not I wouldn't know.

Soooooo, does anyone have a recommendation they would like to give for a "Newbie" who wants to learn Perl??

Hi Larry,
Try this site - the book that goes with it is a treasure.

I apologize for going off topic, but what's with the ratings on this site? Every book supposedly gets 4 stars, and while the site appears to take ratings submissions, there doesn't seem to be any way to access them. Hype is annoying enough, but bogus hype is a real turn-off.

You can find actual user comments through the (now owned by Barnes & Noble) and the Perl list at Amazon.com (slower loading due to cover graphics).
