    Snooker scoreboard (2003 sp2)

    Good morning

My son is an aspiring snooker player and plays at club level, I have noticed on the TV lately the scoreboards they are using and thought that it would be nice for my sons teams home games to have such a display on a large screen attached to a laptop.

I have no idea if this can be done in Excel and don't want to waste too much of anybodies energy as it is not work related. If you can give me some advice I have attached a workbook with an explanation of the basic workings. I have an idea that I should maybe assign each ball shape I have to a cell to make calculations but I am as always open to advice

    Cheers

Perhaps it is related to my lack of knowledge of snooker, but I am not clear at all what you want the buttons to do once pressed. I think many details are missing from your description

    Dear Hans

As usual that is first class, I was just getting my head around trying to explain to Steve in my normal confusing manner and up pops your answer

    Thank you so much

    Cheers

The code could be streamlined a bit, I simply assigned a macro to each of the shapes (and added a "new game" button).
I'll leave it to you to add bells and whistles.

    That's excellent! - on my first game, I got a break of 398 <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
