    Sub-forms in 2007 (2007)

    Hiya.

    It's been many months now since I did any work with Access & now I need to I've been give a PC with the 2007 version.

    Many things are OK, but embarrassingly I've forgotten so much & trying to find some things, in the new version, is proving awkward.

    This particular issue is more mine! I'm putting together a fairly basic employee traing DB & have fallen at the second fence;

    I want to have a "course" form that has an "employee" sub-form (continous), but getting the two related & with cascading data is (at the moment) beyond me.

    The 2 tables would be many-many, but I've done the appropriate 3rd table.

    Here's a starter file to play with, if someoone could help.

    TIA

    You can't put a subform based on the employee table in the course form.
    Instead, create a query based on the attend and employee tables, and create a subform based on the query. The subform will be linked to the main form on coursename and coursedate.

    BTW, I would create an AutoNumber primary key in the course table and use that in the attend table. Having to enter a correct course name and course date is a pain in the behind.
