    Real Player

    Evrey time I follow a link to a video, whether from one of our TV stations, or just about anything, the video is very very clear but it keeps stopping and starting. Sometimes the audio keeps going but the video stops and sometimes both the audio and video just keep cutting in and out. Does anyone know how I can fix that?

    Stop the video and let it load completely before trying to play it, unless it's streamed content. If it is, that would indicate that your internet connection speed isn't up to the task. Are you on a broadband connection ??

    Many video players take over the association for all types of video files. If the video content you are trying to view is NOT Real format try a different player such as Windows Media Player. Just start up WMP and look for the options/preferences to change the file association to WMP.

    Disable Phishing Filter in Internet Explorer 7.

    - From Tools menu (near upper right corner of IE7 window) select Internet Options;
    - On Internet Options window, click Advanced tab;
    - Scroll down Settings until you see Phising Filter under Security;
    - Select "Turn off automatic website checking" (or, if you prefer, "Disable Phishing Filter");
    - Click OK, then close and open all opened IE7 windows.

    I am using IE6 (I did not want the hassle that I heard was caused by installing IE7) and I can't find that command in IE6.

    IE6 does not have a phishing filter unless you've installed the MSN toolbar. IMO, not installing IE7 can cause much bigger hassles as the security in IE6 is much weaker. What sort of problems has you heard about?
