    auto fill/suggest... (Word 2003)

Recently, when I type the name of the college where I work, Word (and Outlook) no longer suggests and fills in the remainder of the college name. How do I fix this? Thanks! Sam

First, check whether AutoComplete is still active:
    - Select Insert | AutoText | AutoText...
    - Make sure that the check box labeled "Show AutoComplete suggestions" is ticked.
    - If it is ticked already, clear it, click OK, open the dialog again then tick it and click OK.
    - Test whether the college name is suggested when you start typing it.
    - If not, you can create a new AutoText entry as follows:
    - Type the full name of the college as you want to insert it in your documents.
    - Select the name.
    - Press Alt+F3 or select Insert | AutoText | New...
    - Word will suggest a 'name' for the AutoText entry, you can change it if you wish (it should be at least 4 characters long).
    - Click OK.

I love this forum! I have found a solution to every possible (and sometimes obscure) problem I have. HansV, I have you to thank for many of them! Peace, all! Sam
