    Pictures/Exhibits in Outlook (2000)

I am using Outlook 2000. I get e-mail articles from Woody's Access Watch. The article explains how to do a certain item and then shows pictures/examples of how to do it. All I have is a large blank space where the picture should be. What do I need to do si I can see the examples?

    Thanks, Mike

    Dave,
I assume I am on line for the woody's e-mail when I open it, but to make sure, I clicked on a link which opened a prior newsletter using internet explorer 5.5 sp2. The exhibits are still not there. There is a box outlined around what should be the exhibit but it doesn't appear. Here is the link to the article. http://www.woodyswatch.com/access/archtemplate.asp?3-15.
    Thnaks,

    Mike

By opening a older HTML email the temp files should still be on your system. But if you are not on line the files will not down load. Also you may have a slow connection and or the supplying server may be over worked.

If you wait longer do the images appear?

Some people have Outlook set to disconnect after sending and/or downloading. Check "Tools, Options" and then the 'Mail Delivery' tab and make sure that "Hang up when finished sending recieving or updating" is clear of a check mark.

    Dave,

I have a DSL connection. I changed the settings not to disconnect, but the same thing happens. From Woody's site I clicked on Access and read Helen Feddma's latest newsletter. Everything was ok except for no exhibit being shown.

Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I can't ping or traceroute to the server img.woodyswatch.com where the images are located. I tried this from a third party web site, so I don't think it is limited to a problem in my network or ISP. Does this image load for other people?

I just saw a message that the server is down and images can't be viewed. I now don't know if there is a problem with the server all the time or if I still have a problem.

Keep checking, so when the server message goes away and you still have this problem, we will try to help more.
