    Signature (Outlook 2003)

    Hello Loungers,

I have created an email signature in Outlook 2003, which shows up perfectly whenever I compose new messages. However, whenever I go to reply to or forward a message, Outlook puts in double spacing between each of the lines of the signature.

    What should look like this:

    Name
    Phone
    Address

    Instead looks like this:

    Name

    Phone

    Address

Any ideas as to how to get Outlook to stop doing that?

    Regards,

    Jmt

Try using Shift+Enter instead of Enter at the end of each line of the signature.

Yes, Hans, it works like a charm. But I have noticed lately that in some messages, Outlook is not just putting in double spaces in my signature line but rather, in all of the text that is included in the part of the message history that is automatically copied in the message history. How odd.

I don't think there's much you can do about that.

Hans is correct. FYI, that will happen with every HTML message that is either converted to plain text or viewed in plain text.
