    hiding a workbook (Excel2000)

    Hi All

    Is it possible to hide a workbook from view after it is opened via VBA?

    I seem to remember that you could do this but I've forgotten the method.

    regards

    You can use code like this:

    Dim wbk As Workbook
    Dim win As Window
    Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    Set wbk = Workbooks.Open("Test.xls")
    For Each win In wbk.Windows
    win.Visible = False
    Next win
    ' Optional - tell Excel that workbook hasn't changed
    wbk.Saved = False
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True
