Things WnXP Pro SP2 Displays (WinXP Pro SP2)

Can someone tell me what graphics files WinXP Pro displays during the boot process and how to control them. I know how to get into CP/Display and set the Screensaver and Desktop images and control the themes; but since downloading some graphics tools (don't remember specific software name) I'm getting an OS2/Warp screen displayed when I boot my desktop. This is the first screen displayed and it continues to be displayed until the XP moving logo comes up.

Is there someplace I can learn the sequence of WinXP load executions and how to control them better? I don't think I'm smart enough to do an MCSE; so I need the 'for dummies' version.

    TIA

See for example Change XP Boot Screen - the free BootSkin application mentioned there is probably the easiest option.
